Chaching China Blend is a proprietary house blend of Chinese black teas — a style with roots in the classic Chinese congou (gongfu) tradition, where well-structured, mellow black teas from different Anhui and Yunnan gardens are blended for balance and consistency. Chinese black tea blends of this type are known for their smooth, mellow character, clean finish, and a naturally sweet depth that makes them approachable without additions.
Chinese black teas differ from Indian and Ceylonese styles in their gentler character: less brisk, less astringent, with a winey or earthy complexity that unfolds as the cup cools. A good house China blend leverages the best of this style — accessible, consistent, and refined.
In the cup, this brews a clear, warm amber. The aroma is clean, slightly earthy, and inviting. The body is medium, the finish mellow and smooth. Excellent as a daily drinker, plain or with a small amount of milk.
Brew at 195°F for 3–4 minutes. Use 2 grams per 8-ounce cup.
